And if you have ideas or questions, please reach out — we might be across the globe, but we’re real people doing real work, and we’ll always reply with a warm, personal message.
We’ve made it simple to help. Here are three ways you can support vulnerable families in Moldova:
Donate: Single or Monthly Giving
It might be hard to believe, but just €50 a month can cover a family’s basic needs – food, school supplies, clothing, and access to healthcare and education. This support keeps children in their homes, with their families, instead of facing life in institutions or extreme poverty.
You can also choose to support a specific need, like a child’s school fees or nursery costs. This kind of help means parents can go to work, earn an income, and move closer to financial independence, rather than staying home because they can’t afford childcare.
We value every single donation. Our supporters know that their contributions go directly where they’re needed most. We keep our administrative costs low — around 9% of our income — so that the maximum possible funds go straight into helping families. Sponsors receive regular updates about our activities and the progress of the families we support, allowing them to stay personally connected to our mission.
Each month, we help up to 100 families — and thanks to supporters like you, our reach keeps growing.
Fundraise for Us
Another powerful way to help is by organizing your own fundraising activities. Here are a few ideas:
- Choose to raise funds in lieu of birthday presents.
- Fundraising at your place of work. We can help with a charity box and promotional materials.
- Organize a fundraising event. We’d be happy to help in any way you need.
- Online Fundraising: Set up a page on platforms like Virgin Money Giving/GoFoundMe, share it on social media, and help spread the word about our mission and the realities faced by vulnerable families in Moldova.
Volunteer With Us
Our Winter and Summer Projects bring together more than 100 children at a time, and that’s when we need volunteers most! Volunteers help create magical experiences for the children: dressing up, playing games, leading activities, and making memories that last a lifetime. It’s hard work, but also incredibly rewarding and fun.
If you’re interested in volunteering, here’s what you’ll need:
- Confidence to engage with children and help supervise activities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A DBS (criminal record) check
- Availability to travel to Moldova
- Fundraising at least ……€ towards project delivery costs (with accommodation costing an additional ….€ and flights not included)
